We employ only qualified, friendly assessors who have practical experience of the work you do. They will help you to build up your web based evidence portfolio with photographs and voice recordings as well as written work – it’s as easy to use as Facebook! Between visits, your assessor will be available to give you support and feedback by email, telephone or Skype, as well as through a range of online resources.
Ross and Alison, our owner-directors, previously set up and managed a chain of three ‘outstanding’ day nurseries . They recently acquired a failing nursery and achieved another outstanding Ofsted grade in less than eight months.
Our experience and our determination to deliver quality, backed up by our innovative use of technology, make PBD unique in the sector.
My assessor is brilliant and offers lots of support and encouragement. For many of my colleagues with other providers, their qualification has just dragged on and they have lost focus. Thank you PBD!
I am finding my Level 5 challenging and I am learning and gaining more strengths and information. My tutor is very supportive and helpful and responds to my questions very quickly. I am very happy that I have chosen this path to further my career.
I am finding that the course is already having a positive effect on my practice. The resources are excellent and my tutor is doing a fantastic job in supporting me.
I have found this course very exciting. I have found my tutor to be really lovely and helpful and the eQual site is extremely helpful. The assessments set have been very clear with lots of information to help me fulfil the requirements.
OMG! Five years ago I vowed that one day I would qualify as a nursery nurse and work on the special care baby unit. In that time I qualified at level 2 and level 3 , holding down 2+ jobs and juggling childcare. Today my dream came true. Thank you to everyone who has helped me!
I was worried about taking part in a webinar because I didn’t know what to expect. I must say it was a great experience, one I’m keen to repeat. There was lots of information which I will need to read in more depth, at my own pace. Being on this course has made me confident in what I do. I am better equipped. Thank you!
‘When I started the qualification I was a bit nervous about the fact I wasn’t going to be going to a college to have lessons with a tutor. But I was reassured that if I need help I would get it and quickly, I found that it was better for me with my family commitments to do the course on line with you.’
I am very pleased with my achievement, never in a million years did I think I would manage it but it has been thanks to Vicki (my assessor) for having faith in me and giving me the confidence to carry on. Thank you for everything
I have worked with many training providers over the years and I can say that your online training is the best that I have come across, my staff have found it to be so easy and there is always someone on hand to help and support. Also I noticed that unlike other training companies, your assessors are thorough and reliable, if they say they are coming they come. The work that they set out for staff is explained thoroughly and staff know exactly what is expected of them.
“The fact that I am having to research so much to understand the criteria, and get the right information to respond to it, is helping me to learn so much more and at a deeper level than ever before – I would like to say that this is an excellent course because it really makes you think, understand and learn in the most positive way – so well done to the team at PBD”
All our learners have free access to our multi-media online resource library, eQual Learning. Watch a short demonstration below or visit our technology page for more information.
Although our base is in the East of England, we have learners (and tutor/assessors) in most regions (London, SW, SE, East, W Midlands, E Midlands, Yorkshire & and Humberside and the North West). In regions where we don't have a presence, we are still happy to take on new learners provided there is enough demand to justify recruiting a locally based tutor/assessor who can provide learners with face to face support.
